1. Your Computer is infected
This is a common technique, if a scammer wants your personal information then he will call you as an IT guy and tell you that you PC is infected with virus and he need your username and password to fix it. 2. 419 Scam
This again is a popular scam, where the scammer hack into someone’s social networking website like Facebook and message a friend that he is trapped in foreign country and he need money to get out of there. The scammer like a story-teller builds a story saying that he was robbed completely of the money in that country and now he is left with nothing. So he ask his friend to send some money in the given account details. Most of the people fall for this because the message they received is from genuine source.

3. Tailgating

4. Account closure notification
This form of phishing is rampant and the social engineers use an old trick of sending a real looking fake mail to the recipients. Once the recipient opens the mail or click a links a Trojan is placed on their system and it streams all sensitive data to the hacker.

5. You are the Winner
This is a very common form of phishing yet many people fall for this prey. Usually recipient get a mail saying that they have won a huge jackpot or millions of dollars and to claim the prize they need to send their account details and other confidential information like credit card detail etc. Once the person sends them with detail they won’t hear from the sender ever.
