Wockhardt Foundation is a non-profit organization which was started by Wockhardt group to engage in social activities like human welfare and public healthcare services. Wockhardt Foundation is headed by Huzaifa Khorakiwala, a distinguished noble philanthropist, inspiring thinker, voracious writer, and spell-binding orator. This initiative has helped in providing good healthcare to poor and needy people across different walk of life. Wockhardt Foundation runs close to 14 Programmes for various services and all these programs have national and state level importance and serve community as whole taking care of its different needs.
Challenge
Wockhardt Foundation wanted to reach as many people as possible to make this noble cause a great success. For this they wanted to build websites for each of their programmes and that is when they approached us. From the start they were crystal clear regarding their websites and this helped us a lot. They wanted a website on solid platform with strong security and scalability features. They also wanted competitive cost advantage along with all the latest features implemented in the websites. They wanted the project to be completed on stipulated time, given the magnitude of project and its implementation it seemed a herculean task at first but we took it in our stride.
Apart from webistes they also needed custom build HRM and Inventory software to manage selling of books. Because they were currently using excel sheet to maintain HR activities and inventories of book. This was time consuming and counter-productive.
Solutions
We chose a secure and scalable open source CMS platform Joomla for the development of the websites. Our team sat together to come out with optimum solution for this project, which will help to complete the project on time. We designed the website keeping in mind its target audience. The navigation was made user-friendly along with elegant and modern layout. Even we kept the back end simple with superior coding so that there is improved functionality while using the websites.
The inventory software build on java served the purpose of inventory management very well and it reduced the time and increased the productivity. We also developed customized full featured HRM software with features like leave management, 360-degree Appraisal policy, Salary policy, DAR or Daily Activity Report etc. This allowed them to manage HR activities seamlessly and achieve lot better in shorter time.
